Californ-i-a & Disneyland! (Part 1)

The boys had no idea where we were going and we managed to surprise them and extend our adventure Four different times over the 10 days - that was the highlight for us parents.

Part 1

Santa Monica, Hollywood, Griffith Observatory, Legoland & San Diego

With the Pier in the background the boys had to explore the outdoor fitness structures -
notice Scott and Wendy on the tightrope

Griffith Observatory at Sunset - notice the monkey mid-air

You gotta see Hollywood Blvd....once

Back for a hike at the Observatory the following day

Our little Einstein - inside the Observatory

You gotta do Legoland....once

For our Aussie Friends - over 600 000 pieces!  Notice the window cleaner to the right

Wendy and Scott are the brave ones... love the faces

It was only about 14 degrees (water was about 20) but Scott braved the waterpark while Jackosn built..

This was St Patty's Day and we went to see the USS Midway -
they had to close the flight deck it was so windy - first time in at least 5 years

A local Vet had Jackson intrigued - here he is talking about the lucky penny that is inside the white cirlce between the two of them - if it wasn't there, they didn't fly.

Jackson and Scott earned their wings after completing the audio tour and questionaire

Scott in the War Room

Take a look at this shot, then below at a similar one from a beach in New Zealand 14 months earlier.
I notice two things..
The boys have really grown
and we need to get Scott a new Jacket!
We are very aware of how fortunate we are to have all this time is together.
